CSR
The WELCRON Group practices sharing with the underprivileged in the local community and vulnerable groups around the world by cooperating with domestic and international NGOs and organizations.
In 2022, the company actively participated in various disaster recovery and material support activities in Korea, such as providing bedding worth 80 million won to victims of large-scale wildfires along the East Coast, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
In addition, the company continuously interacts with social welfare organizations in the local community and sponsors various necessary items for the underprivileged. Since 2010, it has regularly carried out material support activities to help underprivileged women in overseas disaster areas and developing countries such as Syria, the Philippines, Africa, and Mongolia in cooperation with international relief organizations.
Talent Fostering
WELCRON operates various talent-fostering programs that contribute to the development of the Korean fiber industry.
WELCRON regularly holds the ‘Bedding Textile Design Contest’ for college students nationwide and discovers and supports talented prospective bedding designers. Winners of the contest are given additional points when applying for WELCRON jobs. They are provided career advice and mentoring by linking them with designers affiliated with the WELCRON Design Research Center.
In addition, we are contributing to the cultivation of excellent technical personnel by operating scholarship support and employment support programs. These programs, which results from strong industry-academia cooperation, are designed for students in science and engineering fields such as engineering colleges, specialized high schools, and technical high schools, giving them hope and optimism for their future.
Social Service
WELCRON Group is committed to becoming a company that truly understands the value of sharing. This commitment is reflected not only in material donations but also in social contribution activities in which its employees directly participate.
At the end of every year, WELCRON Group visits energy-vulnerable groups in the local community with the voluntary participation of its employees, conducts regular volunteer work, such as sharing coal briquettes, and delivers bedding and other support items.
WELCRON Group, as a member of the Korean corporate community, takes pride in its active participation in disaster relief activities.
Whenever national disasters and crises occur, it stands ready to provide support, as it did during the Taean oil spill in 2007 when it provided KRW 200 million worth of containment supplies and its employees joined forces to participate in containment work.
ESG Management
As part of its ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) management, the WELCRON Group is conducting research and development to supply eco-friendly products and services that not only protect but also rejuvenate the natural environment.
For example, WELCRON's ‘Micro Fiber Cleaner,' which has been selected as a 'World-Class Product' for 20 consecutive years, has completed the development of eco-friendly products such as the 'Recycling Cleaner' made from recycled PET bottles and the 'Biodegradable Cleaner' that naturally decomposes using bio-extracted ingredients such as corn. It has received GRS certification and is supplying it to overseas markets.
WELCRON Hantec, a plant and general construction company, is also contributing to spreading eco-friendly technologies and environmental conservation, such as eco-friendly wastewater treatment methods using microorganisms, energy-saving plants, and new and renewable energy projects using waste.
